Initially launched late 2023 with two petrol variants – Countryman C and S ALL4, MINI Australia is pleased to introduce an additional two BEV variants to the Australian market – the MINI Countryman E, MINI Countryman SE ALL4.
The addition of these new products will expand BMW Group Australia’s fully electric line-up to 20 variants and further cements the company’s position in offering the largest selection of electric vehicles in the country.
MINI Countryman – Powering up urban adventures
The all-new Countryman E serves as an affordable entry point to the line-up with a single electric motor that produces 150kW of power and 250Nm of torque, allowing it to complete a standard sprint from 0-100km/h in 8.6 seconds.
Thanks to its dual electric motors and all-wheel-drive type, the MINI Countryman SE ALL4 steps up in sportiness with 230 kW of power and 494 Nm of torque. This powerful combination results in an acceleration from 0-100km/h in a staggering 5.6 seconds.
Equipped with a 64 kWh battery, the MINI Countryman E and Countryman SE ALL4 offers up to ^462 km and ^432 km respectively of pure electric driving fun. Recharging only pauses the adventuring momentarily with a 29 minute DC charging time to take the battery from 0-80%.
As standard, the MINI Countryman features twin-tube gas filled pressure dampers with front and rear coil springs to ensure a smooth and controlled ride. Additional driving dynamic modes can also be activated to prevent the vehicle from rolling when on incline and to ensure sufficient braking power.
Revolutionising the driving experience with cutting-edge in-car technology
The 240mm OLED centre console screen is a standout feature in the new MINI Countryman. This sleek and high-definition round display perfectly complements MINI’s sleek and minimalistic interior design, while also offering practical functionality.
The MINI Experience Mode, available through the central instrument display, further pays homage to MINI’s fun and playful character. With the option to customise the overall impression of the MINI’s interior, drivers can cater their MINI to their liking. Each mode offers a bespoke set of sounds, colours and patterns which further elevate the driver’s experience. A total of eight modes are available to choose from: Core, Green, Go-Kart, Personal, Timeless, Vivid, Balance and Trail.
Driving and Parking Assistant Plus are both optionally available for Countryman E and SE ALL4. In addition to the radar-based driver assistance system that includes cruise control, speed limiter and lane change warning, Driving Assistant Plus also provides the driver with Active Cruise Control, Stop&Go function and steering as well as lane control functionality. Parking Assistant Plus provides a surround view system, allowing the driver to view the car from a birds-eye view, panorama view and 3D view.
Creature comforts such as Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Wireless Phone Charging and Comfort Access is available as standard on all variants.
MINI Countryman Generous cabin space for tip-top comfort
The MINI Countryman is now 13cm longer and 6cm taller than previous generation model. Thanks to the added dimensions, luggage compartment has been enhanced to 460-litres and 1,450-litres with seats down for the Countryman E and SE models.
Moreover, there is an extra luggage compartment concealed beneath a detachable panel.
MINI is proud to be 100% leather-free with the new generation vehicles. Delighting the senses, the Cloth/Vescin vegan leather upholstery envelops you in a plush embrace, providing both comfort and style. Colour combinations optionally available include black/blue, grey/blue, dark petrol, beige and vintage brown. Vescin/cord combination in black is also available for the JCW Countryman ALL4.
Available as standard for the Countryman SE ALL4 and optionally available for the Countryman E, the panorama glass roof floods the cabin with natural light and creates an open and spacious feel within the cabin. To reduce the cabin from overheating and to ensure a pleasurable and comfortable drive, drivers can opt for sun protection glazing.
For the colder climate, heated seats for are also optionally available for driver and front passenger seats. Steering wheel heating comes standard for the Countryman E, SE ALL4.
Minimalist silhouette that makes a statement
The MINI Countryman exterior showcases a unique blend of design elements that exudes a modern yet timeless appeal. Discreet badging adorns the bonnet and boot, subtly indicating its proud heritage and iconic status.
Piano black highlights are available for the Classic trim level and Vibrant Silver for the Favoured trim level. These glossy black accents complement the car’s body colour, adding an elegant and sophisticated touch.
The Countryman E and SE comes as standard with 18-inch light alloy wheels.
Big on impact
The sustainability aspect takes centre stage in the new MINI Countryman with circularity as the core focus when it comes to production methods and materials use. From 2024, MINI is proud to be 100 per cent leather-free and chrome-free, offering a new assortment of sustainable options for interior trims and exterior highlights.
Furthermore, the light alloy wheels on the new MINI generation are manufactured using up to 70 per cent recycled aluminium. In combination with renewable electricity, this process reduces C02 emissions by up to 80 per cent compared with conventional production methods.
The theme of recycling continues through the interior with the surfaces, vehicle floor and floor mats all made from at least 90 percent recycled polyester. The use of this high-quality and vibrant material in combination with the departure from leather sees production greenhouse emissions reduce by up to 98 per cent.
