IGenesis Motors Australia has upgraded 2023 GV60. 2023 GV60 ushers in an array of specification upgrades headlined by the debut of Genesis Connected Services (GCS).

The GCS suite makes an ultra-connected lifestyle possible with its advanced in-vehicle and smartphone-accessible safety, security and convenience features.
Over-The-Air (OTA) software capability also debuts in 2023 GV60, to give customers the convenience of wireless remote vehicle system updates.
Face Connect and Fingerprint Start technology lets users unlock 2023 GV60 using biometric facial recognition, start GV60 with their fingerprint, recall personalisation settings, and access other useful functions.
Bolstering already extensive safety in 2023 GV60 are additional thorax airbags for outboard rear occupants, which takes the airbag count to 10.
A Virtual Gear Shift (VGS) system adds a new layer of driver involvement with a simulated sequential paddle gear-shift experience.
Additional enhancements include an air purification function that monitors air quality using a fine dust/particulate sensor to maintain a healthy and comfortable cabin.
2023 GV60’s ambient lighting control now extends to the front footwells.
And, complementing the front brake calipers are stylish, colour-coded rear caliper covers carrying the Genesis wordmark.
New exterior paint colours complete a thorough update for 2023 GV60, which continues to offer highly equipped AWD and Performance AWD variants.
Capri Blue Mica and Makalu Grey Metallic replace the previous grey and blue hues, and Sao Paulo Lime is no longer offered.

2023 GV60: Additional Features
Face Connect & Fingerprint Start
2023 GV60 introduces Face Connect and Fingerprint Start, which let users experience true keyless convenience.
Face Connect employs biometric facial recognition to recognise the driver via a camera in the driver’s side door trim, which allows the vehicle to be conveniently unlocked without a key.
At the same time, personalised settings are activated, including seat position, steering wheel, mirrors and infotainment settings.
The camera features near infrared technology and deep learning-based recognition, which allows effective operation even in dark conditions or when the driver’s face is partially obscured, such as by a hat or glasses.
Face Connect also supports vehicle locking with the key inside the vehicle, which is ideal for activities such as surfing, where carrying a key would be inconvenient.
Further supporting a keyless lifestyle is fingerprint recognition functionality that allows vehicle start without a key.
The driver can simply touch the fingerprint reader and then start the vehicle via the start button after a confirmation message is displayed on screen.
Virtual Gear Shift (VGS)
A Virtual Gear Shift (VGS) function has been added for Performance AWD powertrain variants.
The VGS system provides an additional layer of involvement during enthusiastic driving by providing a simulated sequential gear-shifting experience via the steering wheel paddles.
Additional airbags
Building on GV60’s already expansive suite of safety features for 2023 are rear side (thorax) airbags for each of the rear outboard passengers. These provide additional protection and peace of mind for rear occupants and brings the airbag count to 10.
Air purification mode with fine dust sensor
The safety improvements for 2023 GV60 extend to the air quality in the cabin, with an additional fine dust / particulate matter sensor underpinning a newly added air purification function, which will be of particular benefit to asthma and hay fever sufferers.
GV60’s air conditioning panel now reports on air quality inside the vehicle, to rate air quality as Good, Normal, Poor or Very Poor.
Air purification can be activated with the touch of a button, to close the windows, activate recirculation and carry out air purification until ‘Good’ air quality is achieved.
Additional ambient foot lighting
Ambient lighting control has been expanded for 2023 GV60, with the choice of colour now extending to the front footwell lights, to create a more uniform lighting experience. The ambient lighting also acts as interior lighting upon opening a door.
Rear caliper cover & colour-coded rear caliper
2023 GV60 features cosmetic enhancements to the rear brake calipers in the form of stylish covers that create a more luxurious impression.
The caliper covers neatly conceal the more industrial aspects of the brakes and are colour-coded and stamped with the Genesis word mark to tie in with the front calipers. Colour-coding also extends to elements of the caliper itself, for a uniform appearance.
AWD variants are fitted with Silver Calipers and Performance AWD with Black Calipers.
New exterior colours
The range of exterior paint colours offered for GV60 has been updated for 2023 to include the following new colours:
- Capri Blue Mica, which replaces Adriatic Blue Mica
- Makalu Grey Metallic, which replaces Himalayan Grey Metallic & Melbourne Grey Matte
The solid Sao Paulo Lime exterior colour is no longer offered.

The introduction of 2023 GV60 marks the Australian debut of Genesis Connected Services (GCS).

OTA lets users perform remote software and firmware updates for key systems, without the need to visit a service centre. Benefits of OTA include improving vehicle operations, providing additional convenience to customers, and improving operating efficiency at service centres.
