The BYD DOLPHIN and BYD ATTO 3 are set to expand their lineups with the introduction of an ‘Essential’ variant. Prioritising affordability and practicality. Delivering exceptional value, the Dolphin Essential is priced at just $29,990*. While the ATTO 3 Essential is available for an impressive $39,990*.
BYD Affordable EVs
BYD recognizes that everyday Australians are facing cost of living pressures.

The new Essentials range enables more Australians the ability to access technologically advanced new energy cars without a hefty price tag. Crucially, this will mean more Australians can save thousands each year by switching to new energy vehicles.
The BYD DOLPHIN Essential and the BYD ATTO 3 Essential will still carry the brand’s world-leading Blade Battery technology. Which continues to set the benchmark for battery safety and longevity.
For the DOLPHIN Essential this means the same 44.9kWh battery. With 180Nm of torque and 340km driving range (WLTP). For the ATTO 3 Essential, its 49.92kWh battery with 345km driving range WLTP. They have also retained all of the 5-star ANCAP safety features..
